Wild Arms, a classic western RPG that made its debut as one of the first RPGs on the PlayStation game console. The soundtrack contains a total of 36 songs, while the genre of music ranges from song to song. Some songs have a western feel, with whistling as the main instrument, while others have an upbeat feel, with fast synth and drums being used. The composer is Michiko Naruke, who has done every Wild Arms game to date.

1 - Into the Wilderness
This song plays during the opening anime sequence of the game, and what a song it is. The song, which is has an acoustic guitar driving the beat, and whistling as a melody, is probably one of my favourite songs ever. I remember when I first got this game, me and my friend kept resetting the PlayStation just to hear the song again.

2 - Demon's Castle
I don't remember this song from the game, but it’s been a few years since I played it. All this song really is, is some sort of demonic chanting with a choir humming in the background, fairly good song if you like that kind of stuff.

3 - Bringing Back to Soil
This, is almost exactly the same as the track before it. The only difference is that at the beginning of the song it sounds like some sort of church choir singing, and the tone of the demonic choirs voice is a little different. Another good track if you like that kind of stuff.

4 - Castle Of Flames
This song is nice and slow, kind of relaxing. It has a drum beat, with ambiance synth playing in the background. Throughout the song you will hear piano playing softly, or a synth harp playing along with the drums. Nice song if you just want to sit down and relax.

5 - Clash and a Promise
This track is very nice, it starts out with a melodic slow piano, then an awesome acoustic guitar comes in and makes the song so much better. The song sounds so emotional and sad when the guitar is playing. Once the song is half way done, the guitar, piano and synth all merge into one great emotional song, one of my favourite tracks on the soundtrack. Once you get about 2:30 into the track, a choir starts singing, kind of kills the mood of the song, but still good none the less.

6 - Funeral March
Ahh, yes, Funeral March, one of the best songs on this soundtrack. It is very sad, and has voices humming along as the piano plays. Very sad and very emotional, fits perfectly into the game.

7 - Morning Journey
Starts out kind of slow, not much happening. As the song progresses it starts to pick up with a very nice melody which is very catchy. Becomes a very happy song, sounds like something that would play when someone is about to go out on a journey, which it does in the game.

8 - A Sister's Thought
This song kind of reminds of Dragon Quest music, I don't know why. Probably has to do with the trumpet that plays at the beginning. Another slow song, good to relax with.

9 - Ending Theme ~ Swearing To The Sky
This is the vocal to this game, and I have never been a very big fan of it. I don't like the melody it has, and I do not like the singers voice. I don't know why, I know some people who really love this song, her voice just gives me a headache. My least favourite song on this soundtrack.

10 - Hope
This song sounds like an old western song. At the beginning, one of those western instruments play, I don't know what it’s called. Then it moves into a slow western beat, very nice track.

11 - Lone Bird in the Shire
One of my favourite tracks on this soundtrack. This song plays on the world map, and is also one of the main characters themes (Rudy). This song has a very nice upbeat pace, and makes you want to adventure, this song is well worth your time.

12 - Cold Darkness
This is one of the songs that plays in dungeons, fits the mood very well. Sounds kind of evil, with a drum playing along to it. Not one of my favourite songs to just listen to, but it fit the game really nicely.

13 - Critical Hit
Ahh, the battle theme, very upbeat and fast paced. I really like this battle theme, it pumps me up for a battle.

14 - Town
Ah, a very good town theme, sounds just like an old western town would. Makes you want to just sit in that town and relax all day. Fits very nicely in the game and is a good piece to listen to out of the game.

15 - Over the Rough Waters
Very nice track, upbeat and happy. I'm pretty sure this is the airship/boat theme, but I haven't played the game in such a long time I can't remember. Very good track, really great to listen to outside of the game.

16 - Bird in the Sky
This song is Emma's theme, who was a NPC from the game, but was involved with the story a lot. Similar to Rudy’s theme, kind of arranged version of it, but with some new stuff. Great song.

17 - Courage
Ahhh, Courage, another dungeon theme, and one of the best songs on the soundtrack. It’s very majestic feeling, and puts you in the mood for wanting the good guys to win. Fits very nicely within the parts of dungeons where it is played.

18 - Small Thoughts are Worth A Lot
I never really liked this song much. It has kind of a jazzy beat, not that I don't like jazz, I just didn't connect with this song much, it’s also a short song, only 52 seconds long.

19 - Battle Against a Mid Boss
As the name suggests, this is the boss battle theme. This is another song I didn't really like much. It fits good in with the game, but listening to it outside of the game is kind of boring.

20 - Alone in the World
Yay, another acoustic guitar song, I love these. This is also a slow song with a synth acoustic guitar playing. It’s an emotional song that plays during emotional parts during the game, great song.

21 - Lonely World
This song starts out kind of slow and boring, then the main beat kicks in and it makes you feel like you can take anything on, great song, well worth your time.

22 - Village of the Eru
This, is an arranged version of Lone Bird in the Shire, slower, more paced, but a very good song. Another one of the greats on this OST.

23 - Adlehyde Castle
A very good castle theme, sounds just like a castle theme should. Upbeat, majestic, happy, just all castely. Very good song.

24 - A Monastery
This song is a very happy bouncy theme, which plays in the monastery where Cecelia grew up. Nice to listen to if you want to be in a happy mood.

25 - Oops...
Zed's theme, and a very good theme at that. Zed was a bad guy in the game, but he was also the games comic relief. He was so clumsy that he foiled everything he tried to do. This song, sounds like a latin song, because of the instruments used and the beat and pace of the song, great song.

26 - False Marriage on the Ocean
Great wedding song, just your classic wedding song in wild arms synth, give it a listen.

27 - Not a Plain Child but a Young Lady
Janes theme, and a very good theme. Nice and fast, good synth, upbeat, great for a quick listen.

28 - Whistle of the Warrior
Boomerangs theme, if any of you remember him from the game, this song fits in very nice. It’s one of those whistling songs I was talking about at the beginning, kind of short, but very good.

29 - Moments of Tension
This song, I dunno, I never really liked it much. It sounds more like a jumble of beats then a song in my opinion. Listen to it yourself and judge it.

30 - Uncertain Feelings Rushed
Another sad western song, similar to Alone in the World, if you liked that one you'll like this one.

31 - Rudy’s Companions
Very good song, has a nice sense of friendship, makes you feel pumped, ready to take on the world. I guess that’s what this song was trying to say, friends will help you through anything.

32 - Into the Star Ocean
I never really liked this song much, even in game. It kind of bored me, it gets a little better at the end, but it’s not something that I would listen to much.

33 - Battle With Mother
The second last boss battle song, a great song, fits in very nice with the game. Makes you feel like you're fighting something pure evil and you just have to destroy it, but it’s really powerful and will be hard to do.

34 - Battle With Zeik
Very last boss battle song, and probably the best battle song in the game. Very fast, upbeat, with a nice synth piano playing along. Makes you pumped up and just want to kill something evil, too bad Zeik was such a painfully easy boss.

35 - Knights Quarters
Remember the song Courage, this song is kind of like it. It has the same beat in the background, but different beats driving the melody. It’s an ok song, I thought Courage was better.

36 - Into The Wilderness ~ Into New Voyages
This, is one of my all time favourite songs. It plays during the ending anime sequence of the game, and is a very good song. It’s a semi arranged version of Into the Wilderness, with a different beat. Check this track out, you won't be disappointed.

All in all, this is a very good soundtrack. If you've played the game, this will have a great Nostalgic feel to it. Even if you haven't played the game, the great music will make you want to.
