Downloading ANYTHING from an FTP

FTP stands for 'File Transfer Protocol'
HTTP stands for 'Hypertext Transfer Protocol'
FTP, to put it simply is an easy way to transfer files to others. This tutorial
will show you how to get the files you want from the various dedicated RPGN FTP hosts.
In here I will show you how to do achieve this with a program called LeechFTP.
Leech is not by any means the most popular FTP client, but I enjoy it. It's also freeware so
you won't have to buy anything to use it. You can get it for free at download.com
Once you have LeechFTP installed, run the program and click on the button as
shown in the diagram below:

Now, In your web browser, browse the game music section of RPGN to the FTP details page
of the mirror you wish to download from. Right click the link that says "Quick URL", this will
bring up a menu. When you get the right-click menu, choose "Copy Shortcut".
Now, go back into the LeechFTP program.
In the active dialog box you have (from clicking the button), right-click the box that says
"Host or URL" (Circled in Red) and select paste.

Once you have the copied URL pasted, click in any other text box on the screen and it will
fill it all in for you automatically.
Next, click on the "Connection Settings" Tab (Circled in Blue, in the image above.) When
you click it, you'll see a screen like the picture below. There is a box called "Login Retry Delay",
set it to 60 seconds. This will stop you from "hammering" the servers, the most common reason
users get banned. Hammering is when you try to login over and over. This causes the server to
become slow, and causes hassles for all users. Setting this will make the program automatically
try to re-login every 60 seconds if you were unable to get on the first time.

Press the "OK" button and you will try to connect. Don't be upset if you can't connect
right away, as there are a lot of people just like you trying to get on these servers. Many
of the servers are very busy, and will be hard to get onto. Try various servers to see which
ones are fastest for you, and easiest to get on.
Once you are logged in, just browse the various directories shared by the server. To download,
just drag and drop the files to the folder you wish to download them to. The transfer will start,
and you are on your way to getting the files you are after!
